Unity F.C. is hosting a soccer jamboree, celebration of women's soccer, January 18 and 19, 2020 at Polk State College 999 Ave H NE, Winter Haven, Florida 33881. Ladies Steel City from Joliet, Illinois and the All Star's from Deleon Springs, Florida will be joining Unity F.C. for the two day event showcasing the women's game. Play will begin at 9 a.m. on the 18th and noon on the 19th. College coaches and professional scouts will be in attendance. Unity defender Natalia Diaz will be playing collegiate soccer this fall at Daytona State College. Diaz is a 2019 All Area selection and was team captain of state semi finalist University High School located in Orange City, Florida. Natalia played club soccer with Florida Elite Soccer Academy. She made her Unity debut in UWS play June 2018. She was a catalyst and major contributor to the 2018 Mayor’s Cup and 2019 Florida Classic championships. Daytona State is located in Daytona Beach, Florida. They are coached by Brittany Jones and compete in NJCAA Region 8.
Unity keeper Jessie Rivera has signed to play collegiate soccer with Wayland Baptist University. Rivera is Unity’s all time leader in every statistical goaltending category and finished fourth in the nation with 276 saves during her senior season at Deltona High School. Jessie backstopped Unity to the 2018 Mayor’s Cup (Orange County) and the 2019 Florida Classic title. Wayland Baptist University is located in Plainview, Texas and competes in NAIA. They are coached by Shiloh Posey. Rivera is the seventh Unity player this spring signing to play college soccer.

Unity FC midfielder Corayama Torres has signed to play collegiate soccer with Northern Oklahoma. Torres has been with Unity since it’s inception and is second all time with 7 goals.
Unity midfielder Dayne Ford has been named to Deltona High School’s academic Hall of Fame. Ford who will be attending Webber International University in the fall, completes her high school career with a 4.67 GPA. She has also completed her Associates Degree at Daytona State College. Dayne was previously honored as Deltona’s representative as the schools female Academic Athlete of the year and was honored as the top overall Academic Athlete in Volusia and Flagler county, winning the NAIA Champion of Character award. On the soccer field she led Deltona in scoring and minutes played. Ford is Unity F.C.’s all time minutes played leader and is second all time in assists.
Chyenne Dunn will be attending Indiana Tech in the fall of 2019. She will be a member of the track and soccer teams. While in high school at Deland High in Deland, Florida Dunn won the FHSAA 110 meter championship and was named to the 2018 and 2019 all area girls soccer team. Chyenne scored one of the most dramatic goals in Unity history, a game two winner at the final whistle, helping to preserve Unity’s unbeaten run to the 2019 Florida Classic Championship. Indiana Tech competes at the NAIA level and is located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. They are coached by Jim Lipocky.
Unity FC Defender Valerie Guevara will be joining Unity players Harlie Ford, Dayne Ford, and Katlin Holborn on the shores of Lake Wales at Webber International University. Guevara is a JUCO transfer from ASA Miami and was named to the 2018 NJCAA region 8 second team. Valerie is a graduate of Deltona High School and was named 2016 All Area. Valerie played club soccer with Deltona Youth. Webber International University is located in Babson Park, Florida and competes in the Sun Conference of NAIA Division 1.

Unity FC defender Katlin Holborn signed with Webber International University on National Signing Day February 6, 2019. Holborn will be joining her Unity teammates Dayne and Harlie Ford at Webber, located in Babson Park, Florida. Holborn previously played collegiate at Mansfield University in Pennsylvania. She transfers to Webber as a junior. Holborn scored one of the biggest goals in Unity history, the game winner off of a corner to seal the 2019 Florida Classic Championship. Unity Head Coach and Director of Soccer Development Kristine Ford stated “Katlin is a great example of never giving up and working hard. I am very proud of her and wish her continued success at Webber.”
Sisters Harlie and Dayne Ford signed on National Signing Day February 6, 2019 to play collegiate soccer at Webber International University. Harlie Ford enters as a graduate student assistant after completing her bachelors degree at Stetson University. Dayne Ford is a senior dual enrolled at Deltona High School and enters as an academic junior. Webber International University located in Babson Park, Florida is coached by Brian Fallon and compete at the NAIA Division One level in the Sun Conference.
Unity FC defeated Red Hoagland FC 3-1 in the final of the first women’s Florida Classic Championship capping another undefeated run to a major championship. Unity led throughout the match, building a comfortable 3-0 lead before a late tally by Red Hoagland for the final score of 3-1. The four day tournament played at Lake Myrtle Soccer Complex in Auburndale, Florida was a very competitive affair throughout the entire group. Scoring throughout the tournament was balanced for Unity FC as each game featured a different player with the winning goal. Alexa Torres, Chyenne Dunn, and Dayne Ford in group stage. Katlin Holborn with the winner in the final. Keeper Jessie Rivera posted 36 saves in the tournament, many of the spectacular variety.
Unity FC midfielder Dayne Ford was honored as the top female Scholar Athlete in Volusia and Flagler County, receiving the honor at the NAIA Champions of Character banquet held at the Plaza Resort Daytona Beach Florida, an event held in conjunction with the NAIA College Football Championship. The NAIA championship will be held December 15, 2019 at Daytona Stadium. Ford who plays high school soccer for Deltona and club with Florida Elite Soccer Academy was honored for her play on the field, academic achievement of a 4.57 GPA, and her involvement in the community. Dayne is a four year starter at Deltona, team captain and will graduate this spring with an Associates Degree from Daytona State College as a dual enrolled student. Additionally her award was accompanied with a $1,000 scholarship.
Unity FC on October 21, 2018 won the championship game of the 2018 Orange County Mayors Cup soccer tournament. The Mayors Cup is held in conjunction with Hispanic Heritage Month.
Unity opened play with a 9-4 victory over Cosmos FC, followed by 2-1 win over OIS. Unity secured the top spot in group with a 1-1 tie against New Generation, finishing group at 2-0-1.
In the knockout round Unity defeated OIS 2-0 setting up a championship rematch against Cosmos FC. The final was deadlocked at 1-1 heading to the second half before Unity took a commanding 4-1 lead before two goals in stop time pulled the Cosmos within one goal. Unity closed out the remainder of the game and posted the 4-3 win.
Alexa Torres led Unity in the tournament with 9 goals and 4 assists. Billie Darden netted a goal and three assists in the final and 3 goals and six assists overall. Harlie Ford led a stout backline and the midfield led by Mariam Espinosa and Dayne Ford was strong in all aspects of the game. Demaris Legullliow and Jessie Rivera split time in net stopping 42 shots overall one shutout and 4-0-1 record.
